Why Trump Has A Chance At Winning - for idiots or people loosely familiar with American politics

Let's get it started

1. He has given a voice to a population long ignored

Highly uneducated people.  Working class poor.  People who seldom see beyond their own lives or experience a broad array of culture and diversity.  They seem to relate to his own lack of culture.

2.  Language

Donald Trump speaks at a 3rd grade reading level, or speaks with the same vocabulary as an eight year old.  The average American reads at a 5th grade reading level.  This gives him the advantage simply because more people can understand his concepts.  Although, when he speaks it just reminds me of old ladies sitting in a gossip circle bitching about Hillary Clinton.

3.  He's not a politician.

As a candidate who never really held any type of political office he does not have a voting record in which we would able to use as a reference to his platform and policies.  If you have read or heard him speak regularly you might have noticed that he never repeats the same policies or principles.  That is because he flip flops from one position to another.

4.  Racists

Passionately, Trump denies being racist despite being the textbook definition of a racist.  People who have racist tendencies and views similarly deny being racist because they see their beliefs as being 100% justified.  With the way the American media likes to paint the picture of minorities and other religions has fueled the rage many Americans have against these people.  Donald Trump has shed an unusual amount of light and publicity on white supremacist groups, which has given him ample support. He has tapped into a long forgotten reserve of unloved voters and they will certainly vote for him.

5.  He has confidence

Anyone who thinks they can become president must have a shit load of self-esteem and confidence.  As crazy, racist, and virtually improbable as his ideas may be, Trump believes every word he says and believes in every ounce of his being.  Earlier in the election year we saw candidates crumble and fall for lack of confidence in their own abilities.  They appeared pathetic and morose as they floundered over their actions and words.  Trump, on the other hand, rolled with every freakish thing he did and said.  People find confidence comforting in politicians, but it is clear that Trump's confidence is mere Narcissism and not an aptitude for logic.

Why Hillary Clinton Is Not All That Bad

It takes a Narcissist and an ambitious, cutthroat player to have the confidence and determination to run for US President.  Let's face it: the people who think they have what it takes to run have to have thick skin and a desire so strong that they are willing to do almost anything to compete and eventually win.  Here are several reasons why Clinton is a liar and I'm loving it.

1. It's a man's game and she plays a ruthless part in it.

Politics is synonymous with corruption.  This is how politicians and others reach power and maintain it.  As original and protective as the Democratic Republic of the USA is, we based our system on an already corrupt system from Greece.  Essentially, to avoid corruption altogether we have to remove the human element from politics, which we cannot do.  In the context of Hillary Clinton, she has mastered the corrupt system and made it her own, piggybacking on the negative publicity of Donald Trump, raking in money from wherever, and finding safety in the center of the political spectrum.

2. Email Scandal - let's get that out of the way.

It just so happens that the last 3 secretaries of state used private servers for work.  Hillary Clinton is the only one getting flack for it.  Just for the record we're not sure that her server was hacked, or that any secretary of state was hacked, but it is possible that it happened to any of them.  People are reeling from the fact that 30,000 emails were deleted from her server.  She didn't give an explanation for that, but we can speculate.  They can be in different servers, or moved to flash drives, but we'll never know because it was her personal emails. There are mountains of significantly more criminal leaks that Bush and his secretaries have done and escaped any type of prosecution.  For one, and very few people remember this, Bush #2 leaked the identities and locations of several undercover agents, breaching security and exposing them to danger.  There was a small committee investigating the breach, which concluded that it was Bush's fault and everything was buried.

We can safely say there have been some serious double standards on behalf of the political system and the media.  People are outraged and calling for criminal prosecution of Clinton, but she'll never be prosecuted because everyone knows private servers are in practice with most officials on Capital Hill, and no one wants to lose their servers.

3.  Flip-Flopping

It's fairly common for presidential candidates to flip-flop on certain topics like gay marriage, economic policies, etc.  Clinton did it to a fault in 2008, which cost her the election, but she's still doing it again.  She's running as a Democrat - a moderate - Democrat.  This basically gives her the freedom to slightly alter her position on topics based on her location at the time, like making a more liberal stand in a northern state compared to something she said in a southern state.  This is widely practiced.  For someone more fine-tuned to what's going on will notice this behavior.  It's difficult to determine her exact position on several topics because of this and I can only suggest looking at her voting record, but only from a non-partisan website like politicalfacts.com.  Because she hasn't been in the Senate for several years she hasn't actually voted so her Senate votes are outdated compared to relevant topics of today.  Although, most political analysts believe if she becomes president we will not notice a significant change socially or economically from what we have today under Obama.  I tend to agree.  Compared to Ted Cruz, Santorum, Rubio, and especially Tump, she has a substantially larger voting record.  Bernie Sanders, on the other hand, has been in the Senate for AGES and has a longer voting record than any candidate this season.  In the past more governors have succeeded in winning the election because they don't have voting records or they simply didn't exist publicly, which was a huge advantage for them.

4. Benghazi

One of her first scandals independent of her husband, Benghazi is the assault of the US Embassy in Tripoli sometime in 2011 or 2012.  People speculate that Clinton, Secretary at the time, knew of the attack and did nothing.  Several hearings and committee investigations later revealed that she did not know about the attack and didn't do anything to cover it up, as was suspected.

Here is a list of attacks on US Embassies during the Bush Administration and other secretaries.  None of the attacks under the Bush Administration have ever been investigated in the same intensity that Clinton experienced.  There was genuinely no wrong doing on behalf of Clinton, but Fox News insists she is responsible for the deaths of the four people who worked inside the embassy.

5.  Scandal after scandal

Personally, I feel bad for Hillary Clinton being mocked repeatedly for her husband's past indiscretions, and I admire her for remaining married to him after his personal scandals.  I would admire her for divorcing her husband if that is what happened too.

The internet is a callous place where nothing ever remains buried.  To make the decision to run for president while knowing everyone will throw Monica puns and other nonsense takes courage.  However, Clinton is not foreign to conspiracy and scandal.  Much of Bill Clinton's first presidency was marred by the FBI and CIA's intense fight to find some kind of crime in the White House.  Many FBI agents assigned to investigate the Clintons while in the White House later reported that they did not believe any crimes were committed by them, only that they were instructed to find evidence of a crime, any crime.  This, of course, was before the Monica scandal.  His second term as president was certainly a shit-fest.

I don't believe Hillary Clinton is guilty of anything except going along with the flow.  She's following the procedures and protocals of the people who came before her and completely slaying the competition.  I think she's a significantly better choice than Donald Trump or the other idiots running.  Then again, this is just my opinion and I'm not an expert, but a realist by nature, and we like to pretend everything is great here and our politicians are top notch, but that's not true.  We have a corrupt system with politicians playing the game.  If that by proxy makes them corrupt then so be it - nothing will ever be free of corruption unless we take the humans out of politics - like computers approve and pass laws based on how logical they are?  That would be pretty cool, but I'll leave that for the next generation.

My Grandma Is Crazy AF, Turns Out It's Hilarious

Everyone has at least one of them - that bat-shit crazy old lady.  Family gatherings are her perfect platform to spew the strangest, perfectly irrelevant information for the sake of trouble making, but we love her anyway, right?  She makes it damn hard, though.

I swear she does it all on purpose like some king of twisted game to amuse herself, but for your entertainment (and my ranting purposes) here are some of her peculiarities in written form, sure to make you grieve for me and sigh in relief that you've got a relatively sane relative by comparison.

1. All Knowing and Wise - but didn't make it past 10th grade.

Old and seen a lot of crazy shit over the years, Grandma began adult life exceptionally young and had her own rascally brood of children long before she turned 18.  She hardly finished her freshman year of high school before calling it quits, but has maintained "Matriarchy Status" ever since.  All knowing a wise, she has advice and recommendations for everyone, everyone.  I'm not sure how she came to know everything there is to know about everything.  Most recently she has instructed my dad, a seasoned builder, exactly how he should remodel his bathroom - complete with instructions ;) When he didn't take her advice there was hell to pay!

2. She's Packing Serious Heat!!

There are very few things more precious to Grandma than her guns.  Believe it or not, she has a special purse to hold a handgun and carries it everywhere, but has never used it or had need to use it.  She also sleeps with a loaded gun in her nightstand beside her bed, you know, in case she needs it.  Ironically, there's never been a break in at the house, never an intruder, suspicious people loitering, or so much as a car break-in.  She hasn't fired a gun in at least 15 years and probably is unable to fire a gun at all on account of her severe arthritis in her hands and fingers.  She's more likely to hurt herself from the kickback than a person cornering her in a parking lot.  Not to mention the gun is not in a gun safe and there's a 2 year old in the house who easily can find it :(  She refuses to buy a gun safe and keep her weapons there.  Don't ask me why.  In my opinion she doesn't need a gun at all since she carries a taser and pepper spray with her as well, which are equally effective.  She simply enjoys exercising her 2nd amendment rights, which ironically do not include responsibility.

3.  She's A Diehard Republican No Matter How Crazy They Get

Tied to much of what has been previously said, Grandma is freakishly Conservative.  No matter what is the Republican platform she's all for it, even if they took away her Medicare or her Social Security.  She blames any short comings on Obama.  She will vote for a Republican simply for the group, not the individual candidates and their promises.  For that she has unwittingly pledged her full support on Donald Trump despite his refusal to conform with traditional Republican ideals and principles.  She claims to research him and find him suitable, but if she supports him that translates to me that she's a racist.  She also insists she's right, although, her one source of information for all decision making is the not-so-legit Fox News.  She's 100% against ObamaCare - because she doesn't think poor people deserve it (even though she never worked a full time job in her life).  She opposes free education because she thinks it will overrun the job market - never went to college herself.

Trump And The Race To Out-Do One Another

All Hail President Trump -

Actually, no, let's pray and hope that is not what happens November 2016.  For those of you confused and alarmed by Donald Trump's uncanny ascension to Republican Nominee I'll break it down for you in a few simple explanations.

1. And, the most important reason of all, Republicans and Democrats (Conservatives and Liberals) are at odds with each other and will do everything possible to be more powerful than the other.  This means that Republicans and Democrats will elect anyone who they think can win over the other.

2. Trump's Rhetoric
Americans on average have a fifth grade reading level, which can otherwise be translated into a very low comprehension of dialogue, etc.  Trump also has a low reading level.  Everyone with a 10 year old's comprehension understands him.

3.  Haters Gonna Hate
In addition to the low literacy level of his rhetoric, it's also hateful.  Sans diplomacy, Trump is appealing to a violent, hateful population that previously has been ignored by politicians.

4. No History
Donald trump has never been a politician, which means he doesn't have a voting record so no one actually knows the extent of his his political beliefs.  It makes his actions unpredictable.  Aside from his political success in an otherwise nonexistent political career, without a voting record he has no voting controversies that are usually front and center for any normal political nominee.

5. Business as usual
Trump was born wealthy and has since become exceedingly more wealthy, but his business practices are up for debate, but not here.  He appeals to many supports because he has a business track record

Please don't vote for this guy

I'm Back Bitches!!

It's been almost a year since I last posted, which I will attribute to the "life" aspect of this blog getting waaay out of control.  I've simply had no time.  Recently, I lost my job thanks to some assholes at the Hospital From Hell so my schedule just freed up!

Lucky for you guys I intend to follow the Drunken Peasants, especially as they come to my neck of the woods - Seattle - for a meetup with fans, although; by 'neck of the woods' I actually four hours north of me.  That should be very interesting.

Also, I will devotedly post more "A Quip of Witticism" on a more regular basis and post articles that seemingly portray the atmosphere of cultural changes affecting life.  Lists will be posted for your amusement as those seem to be popular.

For your consideration -  please comment or share any posts you find absurd or intriguing.  You can't hurt my feelings; I have a Muslim husband who likes to criticize as frequently as he breathes - with that being said I encourage comments.  Plus, they are fun to read.

Lastly, I will post more personal items, particularly about my husband who can be amusingly neurotic, but who isn't these day?!

Enjoy!
