Why Hillary Clinton Is Not All That Bad

It takes a Narcissist and an ambitious, cutthroat player to have the confidence and determination to run for US President.  Let's face it: the people who think they have what it takes to run have to have thick skin and a desire so strong that they are willing to do almost anything to compete and eventually win.  Here are several reasons why Clinton is a liar and I'm loving it.

1. It's a man's game and she plays a ruthless part in it.

Politics is synonymous with corruption.  This is how politicians and others reach power and maintain it.  As original and protective as the Democratic Republic of the USA is, we based our system on an already corrupt system from Greece.  Essentially, to avoid corruption altogether we have to remove the human element from politics, which we cannot do.  In the context of Hillary Clinton, she has mastered the corrupt system and made it her own, piggybacking on the negative publicity of Donald Trump, raking in money from wherever, and finding safety in the center of the political spectrum.

2. Email Scandal - let's get that out of the way.

It just so happens that the last 3 secretaries of state used private servers for work.  Hillary Clinton is the only one getting flack for it.  Just for the record we're not sure that her server was hacked, or that any secretary of state was hacked, but it is possible that it happened to any of them.  People are reeling from the fact that 30,000 emails were deleted from her server.  She didn't give an explanation for that, but we can speculate.  They can be in different servers, or moved to flash drives, but we'll never know because it was her personal emails. There are mountains of significantly more criminal leaks that Bush and his secretaries have done and escaped any type of prosecution.  For one, and very few people remember this, Bush #2 leaked the identities and locations of several undercover agents, breaching security and exposing them to danger.  There was a small committee investigating the breach, which concluded that it was Bush's fault and everything was buried.

We can safely say there have been some serious double standards on behalf of the political system and the media.  People are outraged and calling for criminal prosecution of Clinton, but she'll never be prosecuted because everyone knows private servers are in practice with most officials on Capital Hill, and no one wants to lose their servers.

3.  Flip-Flopping

It's fairly common for presidential candidates to flip-flop on certain topics like gay marriage, economic policies, etc.  Clinton did it to a fault in 2008, which cost her the election, but she's still doing it again.  She's running as a Democrat - a moderate - Democrat.  This basically gives her the freedom to slightly alter her position on topics based on her location at the time, like making a more liberal stand in a northern state compared to something she said in a southern state.  This is widely practiced.  For someone more fine-tuned to what's going on will notice this behavior.  It's difficult to determine her exact position on several topics because of this and I can only suggest looking at her voting record, but only from a non-partisan website like politicalfacts.com.  Because she hasn't been in the Senate for several years she hasn't actually voted so her Senate votes are outdated compared to relevant topics of today.  Although, most political analysts believe if she becomes president we will not notice a significant change socially or economically from what we have today under Obama.  I tend to agree.  Compared to Ted Cruz, Santorum, Rubio, and especially Tump, she has a substantially larger voting record.  Bernie Sanders, on the other hand, has been in the Senate for AGES and has a longer voting record than any candidate this season.  In the past more governors have succeeded in winning the election because they don't have voting records or they simply didn't exist publicly, which was a huge advantage for them.

4. Benghazi

One of her first scandals independent of her husband, Benghazi is the assault of the US Embassy in Tripoli sometime in 2011 or 2012.  People speculate that Clinton, Secretary at the time, knew of the attack and did nothing.  Several hearings and committee investigations later revealed that she did not know about the attack and didn't do anything to cover it up, as was suspected.

Here is a list of attacks on US Embassies during the Bush Administration and other secretaries.  None of the attacks under the Bush Administration have ever been investigated in the same intensity that Clinton experienced.  There was genuinely no wrong doing on behalf of Clinton, but Fox News insists she is responsible for the deaths of the four people who worked inside the embassy.

5.  Scandal after scandal

Personally, I feel bad for Hillary Clinton being mocked repeatedly for her husband's past indiscretions, and I admire her for remaining married to him after his personal scandals.  I would admire her for divorcing her husband if that is what happened too.

The internet is a callous place where nothing ever remains buried.  To make the decision to run for president while knowing everyone will throw Monica puns and other nonsense takes courage.  However, Clinton is not foreign to conspiracy and scandal.  Much of Bill Clinton's first presidency was marred by the FBI and CIA's intense fight to find some kind of crime in the White House.  Many FBI agents assigned to investigate the Clintons while in the White House later reported that they did not believe any crimes were committed by them, only that they were instructed to find evidence of a crime, any crime.  This, of course, was before the Monica scandal.  His second term as president was certainly a shit-fest.

I don't believe Hillary Clinton is guilty of anything except going along with the flow.  She's following the procedures and protocals of the people who came before her and completely slaying the competition.  I think she's a significantly better choice than Donald Trump or the other idiots running.  Then again, this is just my opinion and I'm not an expert, but a realist by nature, and we like to pretend everything is great here and our politicians are top notch, but that's not true.  We have a corrupt system with politicians playing the game.  If that by proxy makes them corrupt then so be it - nothing will ever be free of corruption unless we take the humans out of politics - like computers approve and pass laws based on how logical they are?  That would be pretty cool, but I'll leave that for the next generation.
